Kurzportrait

The Information Security Group was established in 2013 at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology in cooperation with the Horst-Görtz-Institute for IT-Security (HGI). The group is chaired by Prof. Dr. Christina Pöpper (since 2016 in the form of visiting professor) and performs research and teaching on information security topics with a focus on wireless systems. In 2016, the group was renamed as Wireless Security Group (more information).

Our main research area is communication and network security. This comprises security research in localization (for terrestrial and satellite-based localization systems) as well as resistant wireless communication techniques, notably for ad-hoc communication scenarios.
