About Me
Dr. Flavio Toffalini is an assistant professor of cybersecurity at Ruhr-Universität Bochum (RUB) since September 2024 and holds the Chair for Automated Security Analysis. His research focuses on system security, particularly automatic software testing, threat mitigation, and trusted computing. He earned his Ph.D. from the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD), where he explored trusted execution environments like SGX and TrustZone. He later joined the HexHive group at EPFL as a postdoctoral researcher, deepening his expertise in software testing and security. At RUB, he leads research on securing complex systems and is actively recruiting Ph.D. students for projects in browser and interpreter testing.Group Page
