Research

I'm in­te­rested in usa­ble pri­va­cy, data pro­tec­tion and (coun­ter) sur­veil­lan­ce. My in­ter­di­sci­pli­na­ry re­se­arch tries to build brid­ges bet­ween legal pri­va­cy re­qui­re­ments and em­pi­ri­cal re­se­arch on web tra­cking; tech­ni­cal as­pects of on­line pro­filing and its ef­fects with re­spect to theo­ries from media sci­ence and phi­lo­so­phy or data pro­tec­tion/pri­va­cy en­han­cing tech­no­lo­gies and its ap­p­li­ca­ti­on in real world sys­tems.
