INHALT

Bioinformatics naturally applies computer science methods to the data of a life science application
area, i. e. it represents applied digitization per se. The internship teaches the basics
of programming / development with relations life science applications utilizing data of highthroughput
mass spectrometry / Proteomics. After a short introduction (presence meeting)
in programming and development environments (e.g. Java, R, C++, eclipse, RStudio, Python,
Matlab, KNIME), practical programming tasks will be enrolled and edited during the
semester, if necessary with further face-to-face meetings to discuss progress.

VORAUSSETZUNGEN CREDITS

Written protocol (see “Prüfungsformen”), processing / documentation of the practical task,
participation in the face-to-face meetings, final presentation

EMPFOHLENE VORKENNTNISSE

Modules from the focal point Bioinformatics (e.g. lecture
“Bioinformatics for Proteomics I”)
