Seminars

Software and Internet Security Seminar

Seminars are allocated and managed via the Faculty of Computer Science.

We offer a Bachelor and a Master seminar on Software and Internet Security. The seminars focus on various security and privacy aspects in software security and Internet security.

Students are expected to investigate a narrow topic based on recently published literature, and discuss their investigation’s findings in a report and present them in the seminar.

The seminar is organized in the spirit of a scientific conference. Besides writing a report on the selected topic, students are expected to constructively review each other’s reports – like the peer-review system commonly used in current academic conferences and workshops.

At the end of the seminar, students will be able to study a narrowly-defined research topic, understand insights in research trends and practices in that topic, and write concise scientific reports with respect to their findings. Students will also develop experience in giving scientific presentations, and get valuable insights into peer-reviewing.

Grading

Students will be evaluated based on the quality of their report, their presentation skills, and the quality of their peer-reviewing.
