The Excellent Teaching Award is entering its third year, and the 2026 nominees have now been announced! This year, the ETA will once again be awarded separately for compulsory modules and elective modules.
About
Whether in a lecture, an exercise, a practical or a seminar – good teaching is the basis for successful studies. Many lecturers at the Faculty of Computer Science are committed to this.
The Excellent Teaching Award (ETA) recognizes lecturers from our faculty’s degree programmes for outstanding achievements in teaching. The prize is awarded together with a challenge cup at the annual academic celebration. The prize is awarded together with a challenge cup at the Grand Celebration
The Awarding Process
All students are invited to nominate lecturers for the Excellent Teaching Award using the provided form.
A student jury reviews the proposals, evaluates them and nominates 3-5 lecturers for the ETA.
The nominees submit their teaching concept based on guiding questions from the jury.
Based on the teaching concept and student feedback, the student jury selects a winner of the ETA
