Application and enrollment
For the Bachelor's degree programs in Applied Computer Science, Computer Science and IT Security
The Bachelor’s degree programs at our faculty are NC-free, which means that all prospective students with a German Abitur can simply enroll in the desired degree program and receive a place. The process for prospective students with an international university entrance qualification (e.g. school-leaving certificate from abroad) consists of two phases: Application and enrollment.
General requirements
University entrance qualification

Proof of English language skills at B2 level
- DAAD language certificate (result B2) from RUB
- German Abitur certificate
- UNIcert II
- IELTS academic with grade 6,0 or more
- TOEFL IBT with 85 points or more
- PTE academic with 55 points or more
- FCE (First Certificate in English)
- CAE (Certificate in Advanced English)
For prospective students with an international school-leaving certificate additionally
Proof of German language skills at C1 level
- TestDaF with at least 16 points within one exam
- DSH (level 2 or 3)
- Deutsches Sprachdiplom – DSD – II
- ZOP or Goethe-Zertifikat C2 of the Goethe Institute
- KDS or GDS of the Goethe Institute
- ÖSD-Sprachdiplom C1
- telc Deutsch C1 Hochschule
- Feststellungsprüfung (Prüfungsteil Deutsch)
Application and enrollment process
For prospective students with a German school-leaving certificate (Abitur)
Deadlines: Mid-June to October 15
Process: Direct enrollment in the desired degree program within the enrollment period via the RUB application portal
For prospective students with an international university entrance qualification
Deadlines: June 1 to July 15 (application phase), in accordance with the letter of admission (enrollment phase)
Process:
- Application: Submission of documents via the RUB application portal from June 1 to July 15
- Enrollment: After acceptance of the application, enrollment in the desired degree program takes place within the deadline specified in the letter of admission (usually by October 15 at the latest)
