Cumulative dissertation
A cumulative dissertation consisting of several scientific, thematically related papers can be recognized.
The regulations for the cumulative dissertation are set down in the Decisions 4-3 and 15-3 of the Doctoral Board. A cumulative dissertation requires the approval of the first supervisor and must be submitted for approval by the Doctoral Board with the application for opening the doctoral procedure.
Fast Track
The procedure commonly known as “Fast Track” can, under specific circumstances, allow students without a master’s degree (or equivalent) to take up doctoral studies. Decision 29-1 of the Doctoral Board regulates the details of the Fast Track procedure, such as the provisional admission as doctoral student and the completion of preparatory studies.
