Forms for the doctoral examination

Phase 1 - Acceptance as doctoral researcher

Please submit this application including all attachments as one pdf-file to the Dean’s office of the Faculty of Computer Science via email to informatik-dekanat@rub.de. You could also sent it to the Dean’s office in paper form via post (see the address in the heading line of this document) or hand in the documents in person in the Dean’s office of the faculty (Ms Marion Reinhardt-Kalender, room MC 0.30 ).
After you have received a notice from the doctoral degree board that you have been admitted as doctoral researcher, you must enroll as a PhD student at the RUB Student Office. You can enroll online. You will find all the necessary information and documents on the corresponding page of the Registrar’s Office.

Phase 2 - Writing the dissertation

Writing the dissertation is an independent effort in which you will receive support from your supervisor.

Phase 3 - Admission to the doctorate

Phase 4 - Completion of the doctoral examination
