HiddenQuest 2026
FluxFingers and the Max Planck Institute for Security and Privacy (MPI-SP) are hosting a cybersecurity and hacking workshop
In IT security, women, inter, non-binary, trans, and agender people are still too often overlooked. That’s why the CTF team FluxFingers, together with MPI-SP, is offering the HiddenQuest workshop (formerly CreativeMinds) for the fourth time. In 2026, it will take place from March 27 to 29 in Bochum. The deadline for participation in the qualifier is the end of January.
Participants can look forward to an introduction to web security and playing Capture The Flag (CTF) competitions, as well as exchanging ideas and networking with other FINTA members who are interested in IT security. In addition, experts from industry and research will talk about their careers. The workshop is aimed specifically at beginners. Participation is free of charge, and travel and accommodation expenses will be covered.
Participation spots are allocated via a qualifier, for which participants must register and complete small hacking tasks (challenges). Those who are motivated and attempt the tasks have a good chance of solving them. All FINTA individuals aged 16-25 who reside in Germany are eligible to participate in the qualifier. Points can be earned via the challenges until the end of January.
