AI Lecture Series Kick-off
Yesterday marked an exciting start to our AI Lecture Series at RUB! This series aims to showcase cutting-edge topics in AI, foster dialogue, and build connections between RUB researchers and the wider academic community. Organized by Simon Heilig and Joshua Wendland, representing the labs of AI and Society (Prof. Bilal Zafar), Artificial Intelligence and Formal Methods (Prof. Nils Jansen), and Machine Learning (Prof. Asja Fischer), the event brought together an enthusiastic audience ready to explore current research topics. We were delighted to host Associate Professor Umang Bhatt from New York University, who presented his insightful talk on Orchestrating AI Agents among Humans. His lecture delved into the intricacies of human-AI interactions, highlighting scenarios where AI agents serve optimally as decision-support tools and contexts where decisions are best deferred to human experts.

AI/ML Meetup
Following the lecture, an informal AI/ML Meetup gave attendees the opportunity to network, exchange ideas, and discuss insights sparked by the presentation.
A huge thank you to all participants—we’re already looking forward to our next session! Stay tuned for updates.
