1st Storm Days and ROCKS Workshop 2025
In the week of 31.03.-04.04., the AI-FM team attended two workshops: the first edition of the Storm Days and the ROCKS Workshop 2025.
Storm Days
This event was aimed at users of the probabilistic model checker Storm, and the programme ranged from demonstrations of the newest features, research presentations of scientists utilizing Storm, to discussion of how to incorporate the model checker into teaching. The Storm Days were almost co-located—only a short train ride away—with the 2025 ROCKS meeting.
ROCKS Workshop 2025
The ROCKS meeting is a wonderful invitation-based workshop that aims to connect researchers in the field of RigorOus dependability analysis using model ChecKing techniques for Stochastic systems. It stands out from other events by its welcoming and familial atmosphere.
Wednesday started with a PhD speed dating to allow the participating PhD students to get to know each other.

Moreover, many presentations, both of finished and ongoing work, were usually followed by fruitful questions and discussions. Our group used their presentation time for a few more detailed talks, and then a rapid-fire lightning talk round showcasing the research directions of all its members.
This was well-received, not only for the content, but also for the (not self-evident) feat of having no technical problems when switching speakers 6 times within 30 minutes.
